it's my downfall, it is
a seemingly unending cycle
pick one up and try to hold on
until i've dropped and broken it

chunk at least was unaware
even if his friends weren't
he'd do anything you asked
oblivious of his inadequacies

to have no idea

i say the former
at least i can try
but not try to not fail
but to simply do the best i can

a chance to prove myself to others
